Abloom is a platform that provides students with a place that fosters well-being support, encouraging them to do a quick, daily check-in.
After checking in, students are provided with real-time insights, tailored strategies to meet their well-being needs, and informed support for teachers and counselors to provide the students with targeted support.
In order to address Abloom’s needs, we coordinated with their technical team to develop four front-end applications: a web application, a dashboard, and two browser extensions.Â
The staff browser extension provided a place for staff to track student data, metrics and to interface with the system at a glance.
Abloom lacked the bandwidth and structure to effectively track and document the well-being needs of students, and the staff of schools were subsequently unable to visualize data, trends, and other relevant information.Â
Additionally, staff were unable to view student data quickly, and students weren’t able to access more in-depth questions about their needs or submit surveys to assess the support they received.
The student-facing browser extension provided a path for students to answer questions, submit surveys, and for Abloom to receive metrics around browsing data.
Our team worked with Abloom to access all documentation of the back-end services and developed a staff-facing browser extension, a staff dashboard, a student-facing browser extension, and a login and registration hub.
The registration hub integrates seamlessly with both extensions and the dashboard and Essential created a path for Abloom to be able to seek and store information about well-being data for students.Â
